Planning advisor to CLAN Language Schools to secure detailed change of use planning permission from the City of Edinburgh City Council. Calton secured the change of use of office premises (Class 4) at 10a Rutland Square to education space (Class 10).

Pure Padel Building

PURE PADEL, THE FORGE, GLASGOW

Calton advised Pure Padel on securing the lawful use of the former Cineworld at The Forge for its largest club and first Scottish venue. Following review of the planning history and liaison with the Council, Calton confirmed indoor padel falls within Class 11 and secured a Certificate of Lawfulness to support the change of use.

Lead planning advisor to Ribston in securing detailed permission for the change of use of Block 3, Unit 4 at Oakbank Industrial Estate from Assembly and Leisure Use (Class 11) back to its original business and light industry, general industry, and storage and distribution use (Classes 4, 5 and 6).

Skyrora Space Technology

SKYRORA

Advice on the Scottish planning system to Skyora space technology research and development team.  Site location research for remote launch sites, engine test and manufacture.  Planning applications submitted at Cockenzie East Lothian and Broadlaw Quarry, Midlothian.  Broadlaw approved and now operational for rocket engine testing.
